The Story Untold

My Endeavors......My fight.....

I like this quote by William Shakespeare “The very substance of the ambitions is merely the shadow of a dream.”

When I was young I dreamt to be a Supermodel, Flight Stewardess, an Actress, a Doctor and a News Anchor.
I was an ambitious child at the age of six. Every time I watch movies or any shows, I always imitate the person on that TV show. The way she acted and looked at the cam.

Since young until now, I have this character of being too curious to know things and being inquisitive.

As I was growing up, my perspective in life changed. When I graduated in High School, I wanted to take Physical Therapy and be able to work abroad. Due to lack of money, I wasn’t able to pursue. Instead, I took up  two-year course in Computer System Design and Programming and graduated with flying colors.

After graduation, I had my first job at the age of 19 as  Computer Teacher handling elementary levels. It was really  tough and challenging task.  I worked with them for six months and being a Computer Teacher in my beloved Alma mater. I resigned not on the nature of my job but on the status of the company. It is a private company who hired me to teach in Cordon Central and provides Computer facilities.

January 2002, I received a call from another company. Luckily, without so much ado, I was absorbed. In my three months working with them, I enjoyed my work. I didn’t have any problem with them. That time, as more responsibilities given to me, an idea popped out from my mind. I want to study again.

My mother was against my decision. Her reason was, they can no longer support three colleges and one high school.

I was so  eagerly to re-enter college again and pursue a degree course. I approached my father who was still in service as Philippine Navy at that time. Now happily retired and helping my mother in their small business.

My father asked so many questions as my mother did. I promised them I will study hard and  help them in terms of finances.

Fortunately and by God’s grace, both my parents agreed and let me purse my degree course in Baguio City.  The university I attended offered Trimestral scheme and all the  minor subjects from my other course were officially carried and credited in the school records.

I didn’t fail my brothers and parents from trusting and believing in my potentials. By the talents and skills God given to me, I used those in different extra curricular activities in the school.
I acquired academic scholarship, a member of Theatrical group, and at the same time a working scholar at the school’s cafeteria.

I really, really enjoyed my stay in Baguio. I have good friends, intelligent classmates, generous roommates, and kind landlady and landlord. Even though, I obtained my freedom by studying there, it didn’t mean that I divert my attention and forget all the promises I made. I have close friends and Ate Ana who stood beside me and gave advices.

I excelled and concentrated in my studies until I graduated in the year 2005 with good scholastic records. I successfully obtained my AB Mass Communication degree.

It took me four months before I establish myself and work to help my parents and brothers.

Year 2006, a sudden change in my life happened. It was that year I fell in love to a guy. He constantly courted and chased me during working time. At first he was kind. The time we were officially as BF/GF per se, everything has changed. And the rest was history.
Stupidity made me blinded. I was martyr at that time and deeply in loved to this guy. But in return, it was purely heartache.

By that downfall in my life, God was there to enlighten me together with the help of my parents and brothers. I stood up and faced the world again.

After black clouds that covered my surroundings, a good opportunity knocked at my door. The blessings continuously shower me and my family.

As of now, I will continue to reach my goals, dreams and think optimistic as I cross my fingers.  The competition maybe stiff and it will be survival of the fittest.

God never fails me. I will hold tight unto Him no matter where will be the current is.
